About Me.
Meet Janene Thompson
I’ve always been someone who needs to understand the “why” behind things. When I’m making an important decision, I want to understand my options and how those choices may affect me down the road.
That’s actually how my journey into insurance began.
When I had to help my father enroll in Medicare, I quickly discovered just how confusing the process could be. There were choices, rules, deadlines, and plenty of things I didn’t understand. So, I did what I always do—I started researching.
That curiosity eventually turned into a new career. I became a Licensed Insurance Agent in Arizona and Illinois, expanding my knowledge into Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Medicare, Annuities, Long-Term Care, and other insurance solutions.
As I continued learning about Life Insurance, I became especially interested in Indexed Universal Life (IUL) Insurance. Becoming an IUL Insider Pro opened my eyes to just how much conflicting and misleading information is out there about IULs. I wanted to understand more—not just the benefits, but how these policies actually work, where they may or may not be appropriate, and what clients should understand before making a decision.
Along the way, I discovered another complicated piece of planning for the future—Social Security. I went back to studying and testing and became a Registered Social Security Analyst® (RSSA®) so I could help clients better understand their claiming options and the impact those decisions can have on their future.
Eventually, I was able to leave the 9-to-5 world behind and dedicate myself full-time to JTandMe Insurance Solutions.
Why I Do What I Do
My goal is simple: help people understand their options so they can make informed decisions for themselves and their families.
I know firsthand what it feels like to look at Insurance, Medicare, Social Security, and planning for the future and wonder, “How am I supposed to figure all of this out?”
I’m tenacious when it comes to researching solutions for my clients. I ask questions, dig into the details, and continue learning because I believe you deserve more than a sales pitch—you deserve to understand what you’re choosing and why.
My job isn’t to make the decision for you. It’s to give you the information and guidance you need to make a decision you feel confident about.

JTandMe has grown into three family businesses. Along with JTandMe Insurance Solutions, my husband owns JTandMe Carpentry, serving the Prescott and Prescott Valley area. And for my creative side, there’s JTandMe US Designs, where I get to enjoy designing and creating.
They may be different businesses, but they share the same values: helping people, working hard, and creating something we’re proud to put our name on.
